Despair Tournament Announcement

Hey all - good stuff happening at Despair. This May, Sunday 22nd and Monday 23rd will be the first annual tournament.

I'll announce more happenings, but it's an all day event, with prizes given for different contests.

Some will be level based WITH gear, others for new toons built for the contest only, with different specifications and NO GEAR. More to come. Some special areas are being designed, for role play and hack and slash / puzzle solving - all with various categories.

So, living or dead, gear or no, it's gonna be fun. It won't just be all PvP winner take all, so I expect you all to show up, change schedules and make time for the event.

The Tournament of Despair

It is a two day non-stop event that offers players a chance at great loot and prizes. All XP earned will be kept, and special Tournament Keys will be awarded.

These keys will open chests chosen by players, and after all 7 keys are given out, those players will be ported into the tournament treasure room to pick out their chests.

We will be having a role play contest where players will party up and work their way through areas, on a real role playing adventure. Talk and speaking towards players and the DM will be in common, at best, and based on your intelligence as to how you speak and what words you use. Alive players at the end of this even will be rewarded. There will be one key awarded.

We will be having a one, two three your'e dead contest. Each player will fight other players, one at a time, and wins will be recorded. Then, each player will fight against pairs of players, untill all done. Then this will finish with teams of three against a player.

When all is said and done, the winner will fight all players. One key will be awarded to the highest win total, and one for the over all champion. The overall champion will be the last toon standing after a battle royale.

Players will create new toons, and each player will receive 250,000 gold to use as they see fit. No chests or banks - gold or XP, will be allowed. The player with the highest XP earned after one and three hours will be awarded keys.

There will be special tokens placed throughout the Realm of Despair. Collect as many as you can, as a key will be awarded for the player that has the most on their toon at the end of Monday's game play.

There will be a Red vs Blue team team fight capturing the flag, and destroy the base team events. XP and Gold will be awarded for these events.

There will be a puzzle solving and nightmare contest for players, as well. Players will get toons that have their best chance at winning INDIVIDUAL contests, and the DM will check and count the tokens. Gold and XP will be awarded to the winners for both categories.
